The Story
In partnership with GSG Impact and the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA), with grant funding support from the World Economic Forum, NABII conducted a mapping of the local pensions and insurance industry. This effort has resulted in an ongoing workstream aimed at unlocking local institutional capital flows to small and growing businesses.
As a result, Company and its customers now reap the benefits of a merger that has generated remarkable efficiencies throughout the combined entities.
Research
Through research, the workstream has gained a deeper understanding of the local pension funds industry, identified barriers hindering pension fund allocations to small and growing businesses, and proposed solutions to address the challenges faced by local pension funds in navigating the local impact investment ecosystem. In 2025 NABII is exploring leveraging the Capital Markets Master Plan for market development and innovation in order to enhance impact capital flows to small and growing businesses.
