NABII Elevates Zambia’s Global Presence as Host of the Africa Impact Summit 2026

The National Advisory Board for Impact Investment Zambia (NABII Zambia) today announced a major strategic development: Zambia has been chosen to host the prestigious Africa Impact Summit (AIS) in June 2026. This monumental opportunity means that the Zambia Impact Investment Summit (ZIIS) 2025, scheduled for September 17-18, 2025, will not be held as NABII Zambia redirects its full focus and resources to ensuring the continental summit’s resounding success.
Recognised as the continent’s flagship convening on impact investment, AIS 2026 will be hosted by NABII Zambia, together with the GSG National Partners and Task Forces of the Africa Impact Investing Group (AIIG). The summit will bring together global investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and development partners to drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth across Africa.
“The incredible progress and credibility that ZIIS has built over its four editions have laid the essential foundation for Zambia to host this continental event,” said Simunza Muyangana, Chairperson of NABII Zambia. “This isn’t a cancellation; it’s a testament to our success. We are excited to leverage the momentum from ZIIS to deliver an even greater platform for impact and collaboration.”
Ongoing Initiatives Drive Continuous Impact
NABII’s commitment to building a resilient impact investment ecosystem in Zambia remains unwavering. The organization continues to advance its mission through a number of key initiatives:
- Small Business Growth Initiative (SBGI): The Bank of Zambia, in collaboration with NABII, has launched an Open Call for Expressions of Interest to identify a Management Team to support the delivery of the Pilot Phase of the SBGI. Find full terms and submission details here.
- Policy and Regulatory Landscape Report for Impact Investment in Zambia: This major research project, in collaboration with the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis (ZIPAR), is underway to support evidence-based research and empower small and growing businesses.
- Impact Investing Market Study: Partnering with Kukula Capital, this study aims to estimate the size and scope of the impact investment market in Zambia, providing crucial data to support policymaking and capital mobilisation.
- Upcoming ESG Training: NABII will host an ESG Fundamentals & Strategic Alignment Training for 25 SMEs from 17–18 September 2025.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners, sponsors, and stakeholders who have journeyed with us,” added Simunza Muyangana. “We are building beyond a single event, towards systemic change, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.”
